Horses beneath a rainbow at Posnerosa

Our Team

The heart of Posnerosa.

Every horse here is an individual — and our team is here to listen to them.

Our shared commitment

Partners, not equipment

From seasoned school horses to Standardbreds starting a new career, our horses are cared for as individuals.

With 50 years of experience working with horses and 35 years as a professional horsewoman, Colleen brings an extraordinary level of knowledge, dedication, and horsemanship to The Posnerosa. Her attention to detail and unwavering commitment to the well-being of every animal in her care are truly unmatched.

Colleen believes exceptional care begins with knowing each horse as an individual. She makes it a priority to spend time with every horse, putting her own hands on them daily, noticing the smallest changes, and ensuring that no detail is ever overlooked.

For Colleen, caring for horses is far more than a responsibility. It’s a lifelong commitment to providing each animal with the very best, every single day.

She sets the standard for care at The Posnerosa, leading by example and instilling in our entire team the same dedication, compassion, and respect that have defined her career. There is no one we would trust more with the care of our horses, and we are incredibly fortunate to have her at the heart of our farm.

From our barn family

George Barsa

Facility Operator“Dr. Gee”

With more than 50 years of experience working with horses and over 30 years as part of The Posnerosa family, George is truly one of a kind. Affectionately known as “Dr. Gee” for his remarkable eye for soundness, attention to detail, and ability to recognize when something just isn’t quite right, George embodies a level of horsemanship that is becoming increasingly rare. A true horseman in every sense of the word, his knowledge, experience, and instincts are invaluable.

But anyone who knows George knows that it’s his unmistakable personality that makes him who he is!

George has been an integral part of our farm for more than three decades, and The Posnerosa simply wouldn’t be what it is without him. We are incredibly grateful to have him as a core member of our team and, more importantly, our barn family.

Animal welfare first. Horsemanship always.

We'd love to hear about you and your horse. Visits are by appointment.
